The CHICAGO-LATROBE 159 Heavy-Duty Drill features a rigid, short flute design and 135° P3 split point for tough materials like steel and cast iron. Built from premium high-speed steel with a black oxide finish for wear resistance and improved chip flow. Manufactured to NAS 907 Type C aerospace specs for high-performance hand or machine drilling. NOTE: Black oxide and titanium nitride (TiN) finishes standard from stock (Style 159-TN); alternate coatings available as stock modifications. Sizes under .0625" do not have split points.
